Game play is determined by the number of people who show up that day.
When possible we play a round-robin tournament for that day so that all teams get to play against each other. In which case we divide up the time accordingly. For example if their are 4 teams, each will play 3 games of 30 - 40 minutes each.
If we do end up being able to play a tournament that day, it would look like this:
Round 1: Two teams (at random) play game #1.
Round 2: Winning & losing teams from round 1 play each other in game #2, forming two new brackets in the tournament
Round 3: Again, winning & losing teams from round 2 play each other in game #3.
Round 4+ (as needed, depending on # of teams): Continues the same way until we have a winner.
Note: All teams always end up playing the same # of games. And tiebreakers are in place in case of a tie.
Points are awarded to each team based on how well they do in the tournament. These points get added to their overall season total.
